A desert road, from Vegas to nowhere...

"bent over life"

I've been looking into my memories for two hours now and the conclusions are the same... I definitely did not shoot many pictures in Japan. Why ? Because I chosed to be there for real instead of seeing and living those moment through my lenses. Once for good, I decided to have more than some piece of printed paper to remember my journey.

When I was a kid and then, a teenager, I was always the guy too shy to drink or have fun. For a long time, I was proud to remember every single party I was invited to... because I wasn't drunk.
Shooting picture is somehow the exact contrary : basing a journey on a picture quest is like going to a party with the intention to stay sober so you'll be able to keep very sharp and accurate memories : that's being a documentary reporter looking for objectivity. If you chose to live, you chose to drink. The memories become blur but gain in poetry and aesthetical lack of precision. The drink has always been on the side of the artist seeking inspiration...
Between those to poles, I try to find my way.
