Chinese New Year's day incoming !
Most of the time, I'm not in Paris to attend the festivities, but I keep very nice remembrances of the dragon dances I had seen four years ago. I think I'm going to spend next saturday's afternoon in the 巴黎的 第十三区 to renew the experience. At the time, I was nothing but a very young and pretentous photographer. I only thought photographical material was doing the difference. I was carrying a Gigantic Nikon F6 motorized equiped with a large zoom lense 200-400 mm mounted on its turret... real Rocket launcher assembled to a flash light. In the crowd, thie whole stuff was useless.... I was absolutely unable to shoot portraits in the streets because, what I was lacking of, wasn't proximity, but on the contrary distance... I think it's something I've always been lacking of I cannot stay distant, remain cool, be zen. I'm always in a rush, always flaming up and passionating myself at the point I'm rushing into situation without any capacity to preview problems.
